Thanks to the increasing hype for specialised toys, there are now toys especially designed for gifted children. As parents and educators see the need for these types of toys for the gifted children, manufacturers are incorporating educational elements into their toys to provide these children the opportunity to harness their minds and skills while having fun.
Fun on toys
So before giving a gifted child any type of toy, consider these factors first:
a. Creativity – gifted kids like to play with their minds, so puzzles and “Set” card games are excellent toys for them.
b. Challenge – choose a toy that presents challenge but not as much as it comes as already frustrating.
c. Child’s Interests – consider the child’s age when you want to encourage him/her to take interest in a particular game or toy. It also helps if you know what kind of activity the child prefers the most, so you can choose a toy that he/she will really like best.
