There are many places in the home that can be potentially dangerous for a child to play in. The stairs, for example, should not be encouraged as a play area because of the danger that the kids may slip and hurt themselves. The kitchen is another place where children should definitely not be found with their toys because all the hot things and sharp things are there.
Because of the aforementioned reasons, it is a great idea to allocate a playroom for your kids. A vacant room can be used or a new one constructed just for this purpose. The floor of the room can be covered with rubber mats to make it more children friendly. Soft things like bean bags and can be purchased and placed in the room so that the kids can have a comfortable place to rest when they get tired. The place where the toys can be kept should have padded edges too.
A new playroom may sound expensive, but if it is the safety of children is at stake, no expense should be spared in making them safe and happy.
